I have used the concept of floral trees with hand printed fabrics of bright colors. Also, I made four trees with 60% reduction in size from one to next. This enabled me to give a depth for the whole design.
Selection of background took a long time to decide. A plain background would not do justice. A friend of mine seeing the four independent trees suggested a dawn sky as the backdrop. I decided for a cloudy dawn. First i worked on a combination of blue and pink cloud of morning. Since it did not blend well, I changed to cloudy grey and dawn pink. i tried gradual transition from grey to pink with few blocks in between which was a mosaic of small pieces of pink and grey. It was something like digitizing the picture.
