This quilt represents the bursting of a star . I call it the Rainbow star burst. Using hand dyed batik fabric and piecing technique of half square triangles this , quilt is entirely designed by me using resource from youtube tutorials. The color choice represents the bursting of light as the star bursts. I has merged the outer most line of the quilt with the border fabric, which is also batik in hues of brown ,pink and beige to give give the illusion of the star merging into the darkness of space. Long arm quilting, a pattern using squiggles and stars has been used to follow the theme. The backing fabric is also hand dyed batik fabric and is and all over print which gives the illusion of the universe.
