This began as a workshop quilt - Mountain Majesty. The minute I read the pattern, I knew the variation I was going to use. This quilt was in memory of my visit to China around the time of Chinese New Year. The lanterns hung during the new year are a visual delight. The festive prints of a layer cake gifted to me by a dear friend seemed the perfect foil for this quilt.
