As an upcycler I love to work with existing materials instead of buying new materials. I was inspired by the show 'Project Runway'where few apperals are made with unconventional materials. As a challenge to myself I took up this project. Collected various materials out of the supermarket from customers and friends. I've used rice sacks, packets, garbage bags, duct tape, insulation tape, medicine sheet,plastic bottles, toothbrush and plastic spoon.
Purpose was to try something new and generate awareness about the waste we collect after every visit to the supermarket . It is wonky , not smooth, irregular at places as that's how plastic behaves.
Application- picnic mat, table cloth for open events, school mats etc.
