This a special quilt ,I made for my darling daughter Anokhi, who aspires to he a Cosmologist. A star quilt before she studies more stars.
Stars are my favourite quilt pattern. I have pieced , appliqued, and quilted 326 stars in this quilt. Hand quilting was the most time taking process in this quilt, but every stitch is with love. I cut a template to draw the stars I hand stitched.First I made the centre star , I wanted more so the corner stars..that was not enough so appliqued 102 stars, was I happy? No ! Needed few more so hand stitched more than 200stars . Rest of the stars I thought Anokhi will find for her self.
