During the lockdown ,I missed meeting my mother and the littlest Bhargava-- my brother's grandchild in our family.I had attended Chitra Mandanna's class the previous year and decided to follow her technique and make a portrait quilt of the oldest and youngest people in our lives.Fabrics were from whatever stash I had available.I used my mother's own sari and stitched it down.
I used Inktense pencils for some of the highlights .Needless to say,that my mother was thrilled to receive this pictorial quilt.
