This quilt is all about my family. The red colour represents the meaning of their family name and the feathered star in the centre represents my nest/ our home. The 4 doves around the star are my children. You can see that all of the doves have their wings open as if in flight, which represents my empty home now that all the children have all grown up and left home in one way or another. The label on the back shows the only 2 doves left in the nest which is me and their father. Hence the name of the quilt.
