This piece was made to illustrate the contrasts seen in daily life and in textile works during several visits to India. I have used a range of embroidery techniques, beading and quilting. Materials include cotton and silk fabrics and threads. I have used beads in clay and glass, also glass mirrors and metallic threads and sequins. All of the construction and embroidery was done by hand.
