Lockdown in Chennai meant hours to spend handpiecing this quilt, using the English Paper Piecing method. Putting each piece together around the central hexagon created a bloom of color that made me feel happy. I felt lucky to have bright colors in my stash to put together this quilt. My children are quarantined together in the US and this reminded them of a board game they play together, the Settlers of Catan, so the quilt is named after a magical place - Catan.
