The inspiration is a picture of my parents taken in our garden following my dad's operation to mark his first day out.My funny face dad and solemn mom.My dad was in rapture being outdoors in the garden again.His sullen mood from being unwell changed.
My childhood is marked with the smell of wet soil at 5 pm and companionable chatter in the backyard as they "gardened".Concrete encroached with time on their magnificent array(in every possible hue,variety and scent) of roses,hibiscus,jasmine and ixora. My parents dream home would have french windows that open into a garden heavy with blooms.Pictured on one side are my parents,and on the other-their dream garden(glass in 3 ways).The hanging flowers on the side are scented with jasmine perfume.
