Covid upended our lives, causing us to introspect about what is really important. For us, that was our family : real-life & quilting, both!

“Family” is a visualization of what the term means to each one of us; each individual panel comes together to form the whole quilt. “Family” evokes love, warmth, caring & togetherness, a safe space, where diverse yet united, we are at peace. It speaks of our adaptability & powers of endurance as, though nostalgic, we persevere, reunite & move forward, filled with hope.

The striped fabric represents the shared passion that binds us, collaborating together while physically apart; also showcased through the supportive binds joining the individual panels together as a whole.
