This quilt is the first of my Mod Motif Series. I have always loved patterns and motifs in textile art. The goal of my playful exploration is to create modern geometric motifs that can work as a standalone design element or be repeated in regular and irregular arrangements to create new designs.
The beauty of design is that a motif can be interpreted in myriad ways – this motif can be seen as a Nautilus, an eclipse, as moon phases. To me this doodle is “Netra” the aspect of seeing, viewing, deciphering and regarding.
