A story with my youngest daughter is never complete without a mystical creature. One such story during a storm was the unicorn that rides the thunder. Just like the stories were about pegasus that signified liberty and freedom, the story for this quilt starts with needing special parts not easily available in India. Like the unicorn that rides the thunder, the part needed to give this quilt the final touch, traveled all over the world for over 30 days before it could finally land in my hands. The quilt was pieced together and quilted in a record time of 50 hours. The method used was Raw edge applique.
