Artist Statement/ Description/ Method: My mentor n guide Ms.Tina helped me learn this technique n quilted it in her long arm. I simply love this traditional technique of quilting . I love the colours a tree holds Just like our life n ones journey throughout life . The new shoots and then the youthful leaves supple n rich in their own hue and finally the pale leaves falling off simply depicting a humans fleeting life. Ancient Indian Scriptures say that one must imbibe a Tree s patience and it’s impartial attitude

Artist Statement/ Description/ Method: Glow in the Dark , a minature quilt pattern designed by Jen Daly ,took my attention as i was on the look out for a perfect minature traditional block pattern. This quilt is a GLOW IN MY LIFE,as i overcame many difficulties to complete this beautiful piece. I moved into a new country, and the COVID lockdown started the next day. No machine , very limited fabrics, minimal notions. I introduced myself in the muscat quilters guild and borrowed a machine, and few gave some fabrics!!!! This is my first attempt to do a minature quilt. This has been pieced in Bernina 350, and fully machine quilted. All the pieces are blocked and quilted.

Artist Statement/ Description/ Method: Al Fahl island, fondly addressed by Omanis as PDO ROCK, self created image and applied Raw Edge Applique tecnique. Quilted with multiple color threads to give depth to sky, rock ,water and sand. This spot is an all time favorite landmark personally for me as this was the first natural beauty of Oman that caught my attention when i visited Muscat in 2014. When i reloacted back to muscat in march 2020, i visited this place the very same day and had taken a photograph of this rock .thankfully i visiited the same day as the Covid lockdown started the very next day.

Artist Statement/ Description/ Method: This a special quilt ,I made for my darling daughter Anokhi, who aspires to he a Cosmologist. A star quilt before she studies more stars. Stars are my favourite quilt pattern. I have pieced , appliqued, and quilted 326 stars in this quilt. Hand quilting was the most time taking process in this quilt, but every stitch is with love. I cut a template to draw the stars I hand stitched.First I made the centre star , I wanted more so the corner stars..that was not enough so appliqued 102 stars, was I happy? No ! Needed few more so hand stitched more than 200stars . Rest of the stars I thought Anokhi will find for her self.
